My great nephew Justin Whitehead (Mr. Dufort's brother's son's son), has been selected as the Google Doodle finalist for the state of Idaho for grades K-12. They picked one creation from each state out of over 100,000 entries nationwide. As a state finalist, he and one of his parents will be flown to Mountain View for a ceremony and a tour of the Google campus. What a thrill and an honor!
His family has asked for our assistance to help him gain votes to WIN! The winner receives a $30,000 scholarship AND a $50,000 grant for his/her school.
Tomorrow in the Computer Lab, we'll vote for Justin's entry in the grade 10-12 category and then you may vote for the entry of your choice in the other grades. There's a K-3 category!
Perhaps one of you might be inspired to enter NEXT year?????
