Come to Ohlone Day!

Posted September 10, 2013

Our 3rd grade families are encouraged to visit the 28th Annual Ohlone Day at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park (in Felton) and celebrate Ohlone culture.
The event is Saturday, September 14th, from 10:00a.m.-4:00p.m. I will be there from 10:30a.m.-1:00p.m.

Last year, the native singing/dancing  started at 11:30a.m.

Under the shade of huge sycamore trees at the day-use picnic area you can help to build a tule boat, throw an atl atl, and enjoy the many different activities and exhibits. The day includes Native American dancing, music, fire-making, and crafts. You can go on a native plant walk, learn about Ohlone basketry, stories, and games at this annual fun event. All activities are free. Parking Fee is $10.  Dogs on leash are permitted.
